In conjunction with The Orange County Sheriff's Office, Hidden Springs/Estates participated in the National Night Out block party event on October 2, 2018, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Our HOA set up a couple tents at the retention pond, grilled hot dogs, served light refreshments and provided informational brochures and giveaways. In addition, the kids had fun playing games, creating sidewalk chalk art and requesting characters from the balloon artist. The Jeremiah's ice truck came out for the event and served up cool treats. Captain Tony Minnis paid us a visit and chatted with the residents, shared safety tips and answered questions. He presented our HOA with a certificate of appreciation. We had an amazing turnout, and it was a great way to get to know our neighbors better (and some of their pets!) and raise our awareness about crime prevention.
